Sonderanalyse respects the prefers-reduced-motion media query. Where animations are essential for editorial functionality, we provide a pause or hide mechanism. Editorial images and video are checked for adequate contrast, and we avoid using colour as the only method of conveying information. What are the known limitations?
Some older articles may contain images without full alternative text descriptions, and third-party embedded content (such as social media posts or data visualisations) might not always meet our accessibility standards.
We are systematically reviewing archived material to improve alt-text coverage. Where third-party content falls short, we add a text alternative or caption. We also acknowledge that some interactive tools, such as interactive maps or financial calculators, may present challenges for assistive technologies.
